Average
Ram Charan manages to hold his own. Despite carrying the baggage of expectations of his father Chiranjeevi’s fans, he has given a reasonably good performance. The big minus is the story and the screenplay.

Story:

The hero goes to jail during his childhood by taking upon him the crime committed by others, as he needs money to save his mother. The villain kills his father and stabs his mother.

The villain, Ashish Vidyarthi, stabs Ram Charan’s father Surya because he dared to catch him while he was murdering someone.

The hero comes out of jail and is now set to take revenge on Ashsih Vidyarthi for killing his father. The story reaches the climax, which is quite predictable. In between he gets a chance to romance the heroine Neha Sharma. She is a rich spoilt brat, the daughter of Prakash Raj.

Performance:

Ram Charan shows ease in dancing and fights. However, the influence of Pawan Kalayan and father Chiranjeevi is very much present. In some dance movements and dialogue delivery, he shows glimpses of Pawan Kalyan.

Don’t miss: The one shot in the jail, where Ram Charn jumps through the bunker bed to give a flying kick to the bad guy is really very, very good.

Neha Sharma is just plain average. It is only thanks to some good dubbing that manages to establish her character as a spoilt rich brat.

Prakahs Raj plays a doting father. He mouths a couple of powerful dialogues like – “Kurturni Kane Kanna Kukkani Penchukovadam manchidi, Viswasanga padi vuntundi’.

Dharmavarapu, Venu Madhav, Brahmannandam and others are just average.

It is Ali’s role that manages to raise some laughs. But for Ali, there is very little comedy.

Only two songs stand out. The first is ‘Oososi Raakasi…’Ram Charan has done some very difficult steps in this song and the audience simply lap it up.

The other song is Maro, Maro, Maro…on the hero and the heroine. This fast number almost looks like an items song.

The story and the screenplay have marred the movie. There is nothing novel in the subject or the treatment. The rivalry between the hero and the villain and the hero’s burning passion to avenge the killing of his father is totally missing.

Stupid dialogue: Bharani asking Ram Charan whether he has a passport – ‘Nee Daggira Passport Vunda?’ The hero has just come out of prison after spending 12 years. He is jailed when he was just a kid.

The audience cheer wildly when Ram Charan asks the heroine – ‘Nenu Evarno Telusaa?’(An obvious reference to his lineage).

The film on the whole is just average. However, Ram Charan has given a good performance. And he definitely has it in him to make it big like his dad. It is hard to believe that this is his debut film. He has shown a lot of maturity and all his hard work translates well onto the screen.
